On 04/19/14 members of the Oswego County Sheriff's Office and the Constantia Fire Department responded to Dutcherville Road east of Lewis Road, in the town of Constantia, for a single car motor vehicle accident. Further investigation reveled that the lone occupant, John W. Scrimale of West Monroe, was operating a Chevrolet Malibu in a westerly direction on Dutcherville Road when he left the roadway then struck a culvert and tree. Mr. Scrimale was pronounced dead at the scene, unsafe speed and failure to keep right were contributing factors to the accident, the investigation is continuing..
On 4/21/14 at 8:11 p.m., a 13 year old male residing in the City of Syracuse, a 13 year old male residing in the Village of Baldwinsville and a 14 year old male residing in the Village of Liverpool were charged with Juvenile Delinquency for acts, if committed by an adult would constitute the charges of Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor; Burglary, 3rd degree, a class D felony and 2 of the males with Criminal Trespass, 3rd degree, a class B misdemeanor. The males and their guardians were released on PINS petitions and referred to the Oswego County Probation Department for further processing. The youths are accused of entering the Scriba Town Park and illegally gaining entry to a building and ransacking it along with stealing a package of bracelets.
On 4/23/14 at 2:24 a.m., Michael J. Proud, 25, of 1168 CR 20, Oswego, NY was arrested for Felony DWI (previous conviction in 10 years), a class E felony; Crossing Road Hazard Markings; Failure to Keep Right and Imprudent Speed following a traffic stop on SR 481 in the Town of Volney reportedly initiated after patrol observed the vehicle he was operating to swerve in and out of the lane of travel along with increasing and decreasing the vehicle's speed. Mr. Proud was arraigned by Hon. Judge Aluzzi and remanded to the OCJ in lieu of $1,000/$2,000 bail with a return to T/O Volney Court on 5/26/14.

On 4/12/14 at 7:01 a.m., Ernest R. Jones, 72, of 82 CR 51A, Oswego, NY was reportedly operating a 2014 Chevrolet pickup approaching the intersection of CR 51A and CR 51 and pulled out ahead of the STOP sign then proceeded to back up due to an approaching non- involved vehicle causing the pick up to collide with a 2006 Cadillac stopped at the intersection and being operated by Theodore J. Merihew, 59, of 126 CR 51A, Oswego, NY. Mr. Jones was issued a UTT for Unsafe Backing.
On 4/18/14 at 7:46 p.m., Gregory M. Delhorne, 55, of 7493 Thunderbird Rd., Liverpool, NY was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and Speed in Zone following a traffic stop on SR 48 in the Town of Minetto reportedly conducted during a STEP detail. Mr. Delhorne was released on an appearance ticket, returnable to the Town of Minetto Court on 5/7/14.
On 2/21/14 at 10:55 a.m., Joshua R. Gehan, 22, of 82 Westbrok Hills 8-2, Syracuse, NY was charged with Registration Suspended (suspended on 3/29/14 for insurance lapse) following a traffic stop on North 2nd Street in the City of Fulton initiated by patrol's LPR unit alerting. Mr. Gehan was released on a UTT, returnable to the City of Fulton Court on 5/8/14.
On 4/14/14 at 9:10 p.m., Brandon N. Nunez, 24, of 1111 CR 48, Richland, NY, was arrested for Reckless Endangerment, Second Degree, and Criminal Mischief, Fourth Degree, both class A misdemeanors, stemming from the investigation into a domestic incident. Mr. Nunez was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Richland Court on 4/28/14. He is accused of causing damage to the front door of his residence and a box fan inside the home during the incident and of pushing a female victim from one room to another with his hands placed on the front of her neck, placing her in fear for her life.

On 4/15/14 at 6:45 p.m., Gerry L. Hutton, 42, of 980 Auburn St., Hannibal, NY, was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from a domestic incident. Ms. Hutton was arraigned before Town of Hannibal Court and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to return to court on 5/06/14. During the incident she is accused of threatening to put a bullet into a male victim's head and that of another victim while in the presence of minors.

On 4/18/14 at 8:43 a.m., Brian J. Kellogg, 36, of 901 East Brighton Ave., Syracuse, NY, was charged with Speed in Zone and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (license suspended for Failing to Answer a Summons on 1/01/14 in the Town of Victor), following a traffic stop after he was observed driving over the speed limit on SR 481 in the Town of Scriba. Mr. Kellogg is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Scriba Court on 5/01/14.
On 4/18/14 at 5:27 p.m., Lonnie R. Peters, Jr., 30, of 276 CR 62, Pulaski, NY, was charged with Operation While Registration Suspended/Revoked (registration suspended on 4/10/14 for insurance lapse), following a traffic stop on Pulaski Street in the Village of Mexico after a License Plate Reader targeted his vehicle. Mr. Peters was issued a ticket returnable to Town of Mexico Court on 5/13/14.

Setrella, 22, of 7390 Jessica Drive, North Syracuse, NY, was charged with Operation While Registration Suspended/Revoked following a traffic stop in the Town of West Monroe after a License Plate Reader targeted his vehicle as he drove eastbound on SR 49. He is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of West Monroe Court on 5/12/14.

Mr. Bortle was released on a uniform traffic ticket returnable to Town of Granby Court on 5/12/14.

Hutchings, 37, of 3251 CR 57, Fulton, NY, was charged with Operation While Registration Suspended/Revoked (registration suspended on 12/28/13 for insurance lapse); Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (license suspended on 01/28/14 for insurance lapse); Uninspected Vehicle; and Uninspected Trailer, following a traffic stop in the Town of Volney, which was the result of a signal from a License Plate Reader. Mr. Hutchings was issued Uniform Traffic Tickets and is scheduled to appear before Town of Volney Court on 4/28/14.
On 4/19/14 at 8:09 p.m., Donald C. Sanderson, 20, of 28 W. Genesee St., Baldwinsville, NY, was ticketed for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (license suspended on 10/30/13 for Failure to Answer a Summons in the City of Syracuse), following the investigation into a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Town of Hastings. Mr. Sanderson is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Hastings Court on 5/12/14. Reportedly, Mr. Sanderson was operating a 2006 Hyundai southbound on I-81 when he lost control 1/10 of a mile south of CR 32. The vehicle reportedly spun around and struck a guard rail.
